The weird part is I got this to work for one episode of "dexter" last Saturday. Since then, bupkis, only get this same message again and again.
My stuff:
PS3 w/2.5
AMD Athlon 3000+ 1GB Ram
XP Pro
DSL
What else should I be checking?

1. Make sure you got the latest PlayOn release, it was just released today...known issue w/ps3 2.5 firmware breaking Playon...latest release fixes that
2. Try different video quality settings....medium works best for my particular setup
3. If you're all wireless you will have problems....pc to router needs to be wired....or ps3 to router I think can be wired....but both legs of the lan cannot be wireless
Check, check, and check.
Using the latest release as of last night, have tried medium and low, now set to 'auto.' The PS3 has a wired connection, as does the PC running the playon software.
I can watch netflix on my pc so it seems feasible that the software should be able to port them over to the ps3. I don't have any firewall software enabled on my pc, by the way.
Make sure to send us a support request in PlayOn Settings and reference this forum post.

My setup is this...
PS3 wireless to 'G' wireless router....wired router to PC running PlayOn...the PC is a 2.8 Ghz Dell Optiplex (Pentium 4) with 1G ram. The PS3 is located at the other end of the house (~50' away) with walls with metal studs and the PS3 is at bottom of entertainment center at floor level. The metal wall studs are not RF friendly for wifi.
I am streaming at medium level quality...for me its robust with no stuttering and the picture on my Sony 46" HDTV is (upconverted picture over HDMI interface) is comparable to or a tad better than standard definition picture off cable. I wasnt able to do it before on medium quality all the time it was hit or miss. With this latest PlayON s/w release its really slick.
I have also Tversity running too. No compatibility problems with both servers running and stuff. Oh I also have Tivostreaming software that is on my server pc so I can stream stuff to my tivo.
I am going to purchase the product I am very happy with this latest release.
One last thing to check would be to turn off the PlayOn and then bring it back up. Maybe its still running the old code and needs the new code instanitated by bouncing the server.
I just started to get this on my PS3 as well. I found that any time I tried to view something from Hulu, i would get the error. However, when I would try again a few seconds later, the video would stream correctly.
Keep trying
I have been haveing the same issues discribed in many posts. I ended up deleting all of the above mentioned things from my internet explorer and everywhere else I could find for other reasons.....and then tried this product again. It worked. I am a believer......give it a try and if it works please let others know so they can be happy too.

I see the same behavior with the latest playon netflix and win xp SP3 after trying to fast forward or rewind. Restarting server does not help a full system (running play on server) restart is needed.
I had this happen a couple times last night on netflix (the first time it's happened). After watching a couple TV episodes, the next couple gave me a corrupt error.
I simply hit triangle over the "Data is Corrupt" icon, hit play and it worked (multiple times). I had no more Corrupt errors the rest of the night.
its the wireless connection. I used to get that message all the time but since my pc and ps3 are now on wired cat5 cables (gig ethernet from pc, ps3 and router) I dont get that message anymore
I've since gotten the same error again on occasion, and simply hitting play even while it says corrupt, loads fine.
Just a follow up.
The fix. DO NOT use the BACK button (the round orange circle) on your PS3 DVD remote when stopping a movie. Use the STOP button on your PS3 remote. Works FLAWLESS now.
Was using a DLINK DSM-520. Netflix worked fine. Since them I've updated to the new Playon build and started using a PS3 (with latest firmware) I get the data corrupt no matter how many times I try to play it. :(
FYI, I am running on Windows 7 RTM x64 and had the corrupt data message on my Netflix running the latest version of PlayOn 2.59.3525.39
I ended up taking the check box out of "Always Process entire Video" and then everything started working great.
Dont know if this will solve anyones problem but letting you know that it fixed my Netflix Data corrupt issue.
Thanks,
Tony
IMPORTANT: Changing the "Always process entire video" setting will have no effect whatsoever on whether or not you see the playback error message you're experiencing. It is absolutely, 100% coincidental that you saw it working while the setting was unchecked. The setting only means whether or not video will continue to be processed in the background even after you hit stop or pause on your device. That's it.
We encourage you to send in a support request in PlayOn Settings so we can take a look the next time you see an error. Thanks!

Had this same issue and ran across this forum looking for an answer. One of the posts mentioned playing the video, even after it gives this message. So, I went back to the PS3, which was still sitting on this message, hit the O key to go back, then told it to play the (now) "corrupted" file... and the movie began playing without a hitch! Weird! :p
So yes, if you get this message, try backing up a step, then replay the "corrupted" file, which will look like a broken icon.
Incidentally, my PC specs are as follows:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+, 2.0GHz
4.00 GB DDR2-800
Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit
nVidia GeForce 275 GTX
1TB Sata II HDD (not that these last two matter)
And the latest version of PlayOn
edit: Oh, and I'm on a wireless-n network, but because of location, I'm only able to pull in a "medium" connection speed on my PC of around 108.0 Mbps, which is still DOUBLE the EXCELLENT connection I get on my wireless-g devices (including my PS3) of 54.0 Mbps.
Thanks belefauntes for the feedback and your system information.
