Sony Bravia KDL-40VL160

Is this model compatible with PlayOn at all? I have disabled the anti-virus. The Bravia sees PlayOn when I run the Bravia diagnostics but it says "Unsuccessful". I can view photos using servers Windows Media and also Twonky but the diagnostics on the Bravia see PlayOn but state "Compatible files cannot be found". I realize that the Bravia won't view videos except in certain formats (like MPEG-2) but I'd like to use PlayOn to view Netflix movies. Any suggestions?

Does that specific Bravia model support DLNA video for sure? Have you watched (MPEG-2) videos through Twonky?

Well, evidently not. Using Twonky it shows "There are no items to display." when I navigate to Video > YouTube. And while I had to convert a .wmv file to .mpg it gives me the same message when I try to play the mpg. When I try to navigate to Video > By Folder on the TV I get the message that "Content could not be aquired.

I should say that I'm using the trial version of Twonky which may not support a lot media feeds, so that could be the problem seeing YouTube or anything else except photos. The Bravia, however, will not even make a successful connection to PlayOn.

We're fairly sure that the Bravia model you refer to here does not support DLNA video.
