As of yesterday I evening around 9pm. I had problems playing any hulu content. I installed the sync patch because I was also having hulu sync problems. But that just made it worse. So I uninstalled PlayOn and reinstalled it again. Now hulu doesn't play at all. I installed the patch once more and no hulu. So I installed the patch to fix the the last patch and that didn't work.
So today I downloaded the newest version and installed that and still hulu programs don't work. HELP!!!

EDIT: Have you verified whether the same selected videos at www.hulu.com are slow to load? We're seeing that Hulu is having service issues, and that many videos are taking exceptionally long to load in a browser.

mediamall has asked me to check the new patch. install was smooth. after system reboot i am well into the first test. all is well here. the load time to the hulu logo was about 15/20 seconds and at 40+ minutes into the first episode resolution and sync are good. michelbites, how does CBS and your other plugins work. typically when i see no hulu episodes loading none of the others work either. this might help localize your issue.
I'm having the same problem, today I re-installed playon and the patch, rebooted the computer. Hulu will not play, but the same show will load and play on the computer in about 6 seconds.
I checked netflix, it plays, then I picked a show from CBS and it plays. I've tried five different ones on Hulu and they all say unsupported media or however that little warning goes.
All was fine before yesterday, the patch fixed the sync problem but then yesterday nothing would load.
As of Today, Hulu is not working for me either. I downloaded and installed the latest Play On version and still Hulu does not work. I get a "Data Corrupted" error on my PS3.

Exact same problem here. Installed patch to fix audio sync problem. Worked fine on Wednesday. Did not work at all on Thursday.
just finished 2 hours of testing the new patch. hulu logo in about 25 seconds and no issues. for a short time yesterday i was getting the "data corrupt" message on my ps3. in desperation i just tried to find any program on hulu that would play. after about 6 or 7 tries i got the hulu logo on an episode of a random show and since then they all seem to play well. try loading random episodes of shows till you get one to load. after that go back to one that didnt play previously and see if it loads.
Hulu is having issues with their web servers. Try watching the same clips in your regular PC browser and see if there is an unusually long load time.

The same clips were playing for me on the computer and would start playing in under 10 seconds. Just for fun, I changed the video settings in playon from Low to Max (which I much prefer) and I've watched two 30 min. programs and one 45 min program on my eva9150 with no problems.
There was one show that stopped and threw me back to the menu after about a minute but that was already an issue before the patch. Any program that does that, I can watch completely on the computer but it will always stop at the same point with playon.
At least for now, it's working again.
Just wanted to chime in here with the same problem. Got the latest update tonight, Hulu videos return "Connection to your PC has been lost" on Xbox 360. Trying a second time results in "This video cannot be played because it may not be supported"
Have already restarted and I have no problems accessing Hulu via their website.
Just updated to the latest patch and using my PS3 i get "data is corrupted" message on everything, not just HULU. Support suggested I uninstall my anti-virus to troubleshoot the issue, but that isn't the issue. Still waiting on support to suggest something else that would make more sense.

I am also getting this error. It's been hit and miss for a week or so, but as of the last 2 days, I haven't been able to play a thing via my 360. Tried it on my Wii and one of my two PlayOn servers worked, but it was playing the wrong episode of the show I was trying to watch.
Also I haven't had any problems getting the video to load on Hulu's website.

Same here. I can play anything I want on my PC from the Hulu web site but cannot get anything to play from my Hulu folder using PlayOn Media Server on the same PC. It does not matter if I am logged on from my web browser or not. The login test OK from PlayOn.
I'll add my voice to it too. I was watching things from Hulu fine before I patched. Now, can't get anything to work from Hulu. The Hulu website works no problem, actually loads quite quickly.
Hulu.com is taking a long time to load video but why should that affect PlayOn?
Hulu is not working on my Xbox 360 either. Error Code:53-c00df238. Everything works nicely on Hulu.com Starts playing in under 5 seconds directly on the website but a no go on the Xbox 360 (same videos).
I believe its the patch we all received that is the problem because MediaMall was telling me that it was my computer that was the problem. They said my computer was blocking PlayOn from playing to that device. But that doesn't make any since because all the other features of PlayOn works great. So I installed it on my new laptop and it doesn't work on that either. And my laptop is more powerful then my desktop.
MediaMall has to fix this problem. They are saying there is no problem and its the computer. Well if everyone here is having this problem then its not just the computer its the update...
I sent more support requests and haven't gotten any help... So maybe they will respond to the forums...
Playon is so unreliable, Stay away. can not even upload the support ticket the submit button is grayed out after completing all fields. Have to restart my computer daily before being able to use Playon with Hulu. Can never stop and restart server from the software. I can never depend on being able to enjoy watching with Playon. 12mbs DSL, wired cat 6 to PS3. Will download Tversity and see how that goes.
Just adding that I am having similar issues as mentioned above (originally sync issues, now can't access Hulu at all). Browser accesses Hulu fine, and other plugins work on Playon.
I purchased Playon specifically for Hulu, and have enjoyed it so far. Shame to see issues like this, when community-generated plugins aren't even having these issues.
Same problem, same timeline of events (Hulu quit working Thursday night). Tech support tells me it's a problem between the host machine and the device, which doesn't make any sense because every other content source works correctly (same thing they told michelbites from the sound of it). But it's "unrelated" to this forum, despite the exact same symptoms, in the exact same timeframe, on a machine with absolutely no hardware or software changes. I don't mind technical hiccups, I understand glitches happen, I'm a developer. But I don't like being patronized and told it's just me when clearly others are having the EXACT same issues. Just admit there is an issue and you're working on it, don't give us the run around.
Rolled back to Patch 2.59.3584 (luckily I had it saved) and surprise, Hulu works fine! The problem appears to be the newest versions, they broke something. Looks like it's a good idea to keep the last few patches downloaded.
Same issue, can't get anything on Hulu to play via PlayOn. Same videos load and play fine on the web site. Started happening to me BEFORE updating to the latest version. I then updated to the latest version, hoping it would fix the problem, but it did not.
I bought Play On just to watch Hulu. Since yesterday can't watch Hulu on my 360. But it works fine with cnn and espn so please PlayOn support team dont keep telling me and the others that we are the one's that are causing the problems with our antivirus and firewalls that they are blocking the programs.
Im also having problems with hulu only! I cant see it on my 360! and please stop saying that its my antivirus or my firewall because i can watch cnn and espn.
I am also having an issue with hulu and playon and my PS3. Only AFTER I updated to the latest version of playon. I hope they figure this out soon, as the only reason I bought playon was to watch hulu on my TV... if they don't fix it, or keep turfing the issue off as something unrelated to the recent update, then playon is worthless to me.
my problem started before i installed the new patch...then I tried the new patch but that did nothing to help...this is definitely not an issue with individual computers...would be nice if play on would acknowledge this....otherwise I would like my money back
Same problem here. I've watched numerous programs on hulu last night and this morning on my PC, but since last night have not been able to play any hulu videos without receiving the error message on my xbox 360. It would be nice if someone would at least acknowledge that there's a problem. If that hasn't happened by the end of the day, I will be requesting a refund.
I'm having a problem with Hulu too. No support from Playon. I'm surprised that they didnt' acknowledge a problem when I sent in a ticket. They said it was a firewall problem on my side, which it's not.
obviously whoever works on Saturdays doesn't pay attention to the forums. They seemed unaware that there are lots of people having problems with Hulu. Can someone chime in here and tell us if they ARE able to use Hulu after the patch?
I used an earlier version of PlayOn without any success. My Xbox 360 console software was just updated but I see that at least one person has the same problem with the PS3. How many of you have just had your Xbox 360 Console software updates prior to having this issue with Hulu?
Having the same problem...I did just recently update 360 software. I don't think (although I'm not sure) I had tried to watch Hulu since the update, but I definitely couldn't watch yesterday or today. XBox said it couldn't connect to PC, but everything besides Hulu works.
Hulu is working for me now with the patch. It hasn't the last 2 nights. works good during daytime hrs.

for those who are having problems since the last patch, you might just use your system restore feature. go back to a point before the update and see if that works.
Resolved my issue. It does look like the patch is the problem. I uninstalled PlayOn and deleted the MediaMall folder from the program files (copied my Plugins so I could add these back). I then removed MediaMall entries from the registry (after doing a registry backup) and restarted my PC. I then installed an earlier version of PlayOn (2.59.3555) and set back up my Netflix and Hulu accounts and now I can watch anything on Hulu on my Xbox 360.
Prior to removing PlayOn and installing an earlier version, I tried the system restore feature without success.
I just watched something on Hulu after the most recent patch. Version 2.59.3597.56 - It seemed to work fine for the couple shows I watched. Finally after a month I _think_ it's fixed for me on my PS3.
We're getting lots of varied reports about Hulu. Some folks have trouble, and some don't at all. If you can, please reproduce the issue, and send in a support ticket.
For those of you who've had success with Hulu with an older version of PlayOn but cannot get it to work with the latest installer, please try playing a video successfully in Hulu with an older PlayOn, then upgrade, then reproduce a playback error with the latest PlayOn, and then send in a support ticket through PlayOn Settings, explaining the procedure. We would really appreciate it!

I'm still having Hulu issues. The problems began with Play On's prior version and continue with the new version as well. I'm actually starting to think that maybe Hulu is blocking Play On in some way.
Hulu has a new thing called Hulu desktop. I installed Hulu desktop earlier this week. The reason I installed this is because I like to watch TV on my computer sometimes. I thought I had everything fixed. Last night my troubles started all over again. I uninstalled Hulu desktop and now everything works fine and has all day. I'm sure this had nothing to do with my problems but thought I would just mention it.
Per the admin's request I re-applied the patch and upgraded from 2.59.3555.48 (which worked fine) to 2.59.3597.56 via the patch and now Hulu works fine with the patched version. I'm not sure what changed but there may be an issue with the patch process. In any event removing all MediaMall entries from the registry and going back to an earlier version and then re-applying the latest patch seems to have corrected Hulu and now works with the latest PlayOn version.
I have been having this problem for 2 days now. I have tried rebooting my PlayOn PC several times, rebooted the PS3, and even tried watching it from my Wii, and I got the same thing every time..."Data is Corrupted".
I was running version 2.59.3597.56. After reading this last post about reinstalling PlayOn, I uninstalled PlayOn from my Windows XP computer and reinstalled an older version I still had the install files for on my computer. It is version 2.59.3561.50. As soon as it finished installing, I went in to the PS3 and pulled up Hulu, and a show started right up. There has to be something broken with that latest patch.
I uninstalled my Playon installation using a moderate uninstall with Revo Uninstaller. I then installed an old version I had saved, upon the re installation of the old Hulu still did not work. However, when I updated the latest patch, it started working again! Yay!
We published a test patcher that is specific for Hulu playback errors. If you're experiencing these problems repeatedly, feel free to try it out (though it's still experimental):

After this patch I'm glad to say Hulu is back for me. Loading a bit slowly, but that could be for a number of different reasons. Bottom line is videos are playing fine now.

ETA: Spoke too soon. Died in the middle of an Ugly Betty episode and then no videos would play after that :(

I had exactly the same problem that smoger did. Network connection problem from my Xbox 360 whenever I tried to play a Hulu video. All the other channels (CBS, etc.) worked just fine.
The test patcher fixed the problem for me. Thanks!
