It would be great if I could place a DVD in my DVD drive or mount a DVD image and then share it through PlayOn. I have a ton of DVD images that I would prefer not to burn to disc or extract the video from. I can use VLC to just play the image but it would be nice to stream it to my PS3. So, the ability to play a DVD from my computer OR the ability for PlayOn to play a DVD .iso file?!?! ;)
Thanks,
Rich

There is a free Java PS3 media server available to stream DVD ISO images from a network location. I've used it a little, but it seems kind of flaky sometimes. An option to do this with Play On would be an awesome addition. I also don't like to handle discs, and find ISOs very convenient.
What about streaming to an Apple TV. I would like to be able to do this when I rent a DVD.
This would be GREAT! I'm guessing its not coming, though.
A friend pointed me to a google code project for a java ps3 media server that mentiones ISO's. I haven't tried it yet, not sure when I will, but here's the link if anyone's interested http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver/
