Please please PLEASE add support for Mac users!!! Every time I want to use PlayOn Media Server I have to restart my computer in Windows mode.... Having PlayOn available on Mac would be SO AWESOME!! I have a lot of friends with Mac computers and would definitely recommend this software to them if support was available
Although we agree that Mac support would be wonderful, it's such a huge engineering effort that it's not very realistic for us in the near future. Don't get us wrong; we're not opposed to Mac (or Linux) support in any way -- we just lack the resources to make it happen. Note that you can get PlayOn to work on a Mac using Parallels, which you can read a bit about in our FAQ.

You could also go the crazy, convoluted way, like I did.
Sun VirtualBox running a VM with Windows 7 RC, and then run PlayOn within that. On my 2GHz Core2Duo Intel iMac, Hulu videos take about *maybe* 30 seconds to buffer. Fast-Forward and Rewind functions are a little flakey, but it works for what I need it for and it was very cheap to throw together, since VirtualBox and Windows7RC are both free (with Windows7 being limited to about 9 months now of operation).
Please, Please, Please! Native Mac support! I'd buy it immediately!
