Hulu Continuous Play

I have looked & cannot find any reference to the Hulu continuous play feature. It is really an important feature to me & my family!! If it is not available now through PlayOn, can you indicate when or how it might be available?

Thanks!

If you're using a PS3 then it's a setting on your PS3 (Can't remember which one off the top of my head).

I'm not using a PS3, I am using the Netgear EVA 2000.

Thanks!

Re: Hulu Continuous Play

Currently, PlayOn depends on the client to supply this feature. You could request Netgear to add this. As mentioned above, some clients do support it.

Awhile back I do recall one developer looking to add this feature into there plugin set. I don't believe it was ever achieved. But that doesn't mean it is not possible.

I would suggest you email Netgear directly request they add support to the DLNA client.

OK, I now am in possession of a PS3. Were you speaking of the "Repeat" setting? Repeat does not look analagous to continuous play.

Settings
Sequential Playback
[Sequential Playback] has been added as an option under (Settings) > (Video Settings).

You can now set the PS3™ system to sequentially play multiple video files that are saved on the hard disk or storage media.

Off Videos are not played sequentially.
On Videos are played sequentially.

Re: Hulu Continuous Play

Sorry if the answer is in front of me, but how does this help with Hulu? This setting appears incompatible with Hulu accessed thru PlayOn. Hard disk or storage media video files does not describe Hulu(?)

Re: Hulu Continuous Play

Last time I checked, applying this setting will play the next video in your lisitng. I.E. go to the most popular videos of the day. Play the video. Next video in the listing should start right after, without you needing to click anything. Or another example would be going to the "ALF" videos and start with first show, next one should autoplay, one after another.
Perhaps this is not what your looking for?

Re: Hulu Continuous Play

If by listing, you mean Hulu queue, that is exactly what I am looking for. Or, as in your example, with an ALF folder on Hulu too. What happens when I set sequential playback to "on" is that I still have all my Hulu folders but the files inside the folders have disappeared!! I tried several times where I set it to "on" & checked, then set it to "off" & checked. Each time, the same thing would happen (files disappear with "on", reappear with "off") Any ideas? Can you try it again on your setup? Thanks!

Re: Hulu Continuous Play

That's weird! I use Hulu. I use my queue. I have this turned on. After watching one show in my Hulu queue the next one starts.

I have no idea why turning this feature on on the client (PS3) would cause no videos to be listed in your Hulu queue. With this on do you see no videos in any Hulu subfolder? How about other services like Netflix/CNN/CBS, etc.

I also use this with the LocalFiles plugin to play multiple episodes I have in there.

This is very strange behavior. I have not used "Hulu Queue" to test this feature. What I suggest you do is turn on the feature. Shutdown the PlayOn server and turn off the PS3. Unplug/Replug the power of the PS3. Then start the PlayOn server then turn on your PS3. Attempt to test it again.
