Encourage Competition by adding multiple service providers. Why should Hulu be the main aggregator of content?
If Hulu charges a subcription fee....
Hule + Neflix + Amazon + other monetizers who want end user subscription fees = This costs more than satellite or cable and I have to watch commercials.
I can see where customers will see more value in the traditional services. Advertisors are should pay for this... Anything else is double dipping.

I agree, more content providers brings more competition and hopefully lower prices for end users.
Hulu wishes to take over the world ;)
Right now we pay for cable tv / satellite and we get commercials. They are double dipping already.
