It would be handy to be able to shut the computer down from where you are watching tv. When you are watching in bed and want to turn it off for the night you wouldn't need to get up to do so.

I actually have been thinking about this more and more lately.
When I get sometime, I'll take a lookie into creating a plugin. But it would be more ideal if this was under the PlayOn Info screen.

This feature would complete my plan to be the laziest bastard on the planet. Make it so.
We still have this idea on the drawing board, but we're concerned about users unintentionally (or even intentionally) putting a PC into standby/shutdown while another person is actively using the PC. Only administrators of a PC should be allowed to turn it off.
Have you considering simply having your PC set to standby after a certain amount of idle time?

I would also like the option of shutting the PC down from the PS3. To avoid issues, you could make this an option from the main console on the PlayOn server to allow or disallow the feature.
